I just noticed that Jonny Polonsky is going to be touring with Audioslave. I havent heard his name in a while...I didnt know he was still making music. That's cool.

He had some home made demo tapes circulating back in the early nineties. One of them eventually made it to Frank Black. Frank liked what he heard, so he helped Jonny record some proper demos, that helped him land a record deal.

I just thought it was interesting because Frank Black and Chris Cornell have been the two most important influences in my CD collection and Jonny has now been linked to them both.

here are his dates:

Wow, Daisy Girl. I just saw the audioslave show, last night. I really hope that you dont miss it.

Yeah, BillGoodman...I also liked what clips I heard on Polonsky's site. At last night's gig, he was no Keith Sweat, but I'd like to check out his album, anyway.

It was not that I disliked it. I have like 900 CDs and was trying to thin the herd, so I sold a few that I really did not feel I would miss. I mean, it was OK, but I have much more cherished recordings.

Shazeb, you should have listened more to the CD before selling it. It's a little gem.

Yeah, my hubby was really siked to see Audioslave on tour but they sold out before we could get tix... The ones on ebay now are a little pricey so maybe we'll get lucky before the show.

Thanks, Garilc Soul for pointing out that link bettwen FB and Chris Cornell... never would have picked up on that without you!

Sometimes they do that when they cover a song....
Would he cover a Keith Sweat song?

1. I am a fsh with no i's.
2. You must be wearing Zubaz, 'cause you're daring to be different.
3. I am a man with 3 fingers...but that doesn't count my index finger nor my thumb.

Thanks for the info on Jonny Polonsky.

I am listening to him right now on MusicMatch. I am really liking "where the signs end"

But I want to know why under "similar artists" they list Keith Sweat......

I saw him too opening for Frank in 98. I agree with you, hWolsky. I remember that he was drunk. But and the end he was real, and I gave him a bear..
hWolsky Posted - 03/29/2005 : 07:55:16
I saw him live opening for Frank in london forum back in 1996.
He was just that skinny kid with dyed hair trying to scream and sing like he should not...
