Is that Orange in the same way as Frank was born in California?

I just can't help myself sometimes.

Devil's Workshop

I'm a regular kid!

I really think this should be in the FAQ section.

Get them all, but in my oppinion you should go chronologicaly, they are all great, but it's better to start from the beginning.

You're trying to
fool somebody, but you end up fooling yourself.
shineoftheever Posted - 03/29/2005 : 04:34:49
if you bought them alphabetically it would look like this:

frank black
frank black and the catholics
black letter days
cult of ray
devils workshop
dog in the sand
pistolero

actually, if you buy in reverse aplphabetical you will buy them in almost the order i did except i had cult and orange before the catholics existed, i bought pistolero, lost interest for a while and bought them in that reverse order ending with SMYT. i still kick myself for not getting yellow upon release.

You can go eat a decroded piece of crap!
shineoftheever Posted - 03/29/2005 : 04:26:54
if you like toty better get orange, if you like smyt bettter get devils workshop, IMO!

Hey, you're Charles Thompson. You wrote the albums. Why don't you tell us?

Buy them at random maybe. Just make sure you listen to any given album several times in a span of a couple days to get a good impression of it. The water is warm.

you may as well buy them all at the same time to avoid choosing which cd to buy :)

The Truth Is Out There

Yeah, go back to the debut, Charles, and work your way along. What have you got to loose? They're not that expensive!
Daisy Girl Posted - 03/25/2005 : 23:09:07
yes, you can't go wrong. all of them are amazing... definately get all of them... but I do think "frank black" and "cult of ray" would be good next steps.
tobafett Posted - 03/25/2005 : 13:28:41
get "frank black"

go now.
Carl Posted - 03/25/2005 : 12:00:16
I have a bit of a confession to make-I've never heard Black Letter Day Or Devil's Workshop. Or Frankblackfrancis, which I keep intending on getting.
frank black conspiracy Posted - 03/25/2005 : 10:40:24
to make things easier (possibly), which Fb you liking more?
The catholics style SMYT, or the FB solo 'Check my Distortion' TOTY?

Gotta second Kathryn's Pistolero
kathryn Posted - 03/25/2005 : 10:37:03
What FBC said....anything. Everything. It's all amazing.

To further confuse you, Pistolero is incredible, too, as is
"the orange album" (the eponymously titled Frank Black).

You can't go wrong with whatever you buy.

Great user name, btw.

I still believe in the excellent joy of the Catholics
frank black conspiracy Posted - 03/25/2005 : 10:04:06
hey charles, seriously, you can't go wrong with whatever you buy, and you have a choice from a few. seriously, any one would be a valued purchase. BLD is just fine, and plenty of songs on there to enjoy. It's FB, right? no cd is a bad one.

actually, Black Letter Days would be an excellant next buy.

Do it! Get it as soon as you can
