You all know what I mean - the one where Frank just screams like he's in suspended animation?
Last time I heard it was in a field in Reading about 3 years ago I think...which is my fave FB & TC gig memory musically.
Personally, its pretty damn hard to top meeting Charles outside the Liquid room in Edinburgh on my birthday 2003.
In fact his sig. is still in my wallet (along with a million receipts of course)

"Live @ the Beta Bar, Tallahassee, Florida, March 11, 2003" .... also got a great section where Frank interrupts Massif Centrale to complain about someone in the front row tickling his leg. Pretty funny.
It is great! Thanks for reminding us.
"This tickling really has to stop," Frank says. It's hilarious. And that's the second time he has to ask. Earlier in the set, Frank has to abort and restart "Crackity Jones" after kindly reprimanding someone for "the monkey bites or snake bites or whatever your dad called them." Right after "How you went so far." Great moment!
I still believe in the excellent joy of the Catholics |

Posted - 03/12/2005 : 18:57:10 Hey Leah, I'm listening to a KICK-ARSE version of 6-60-6 right now. starts off with the rythm guitar just strumming real fast and Frank speaking/yelling/screaming the lyrics. The band never really plays the song, just kind of backs-up Frank.
It's from "Live @ the Beta Bar, Tallahassee, Florida, March 11, 2003" I downloaded it from someone here at FB.net posting it some time ago.

Posted - 03/12/2005 : 16:47:04 Seen Frank with the Catholics in Dublin over a year ago but they played about 8 songs and put their hands up and thanked the crowd. Bout 30 mins the gig had gone on, then they just walked off. Everyone was freaked, thought it was over. They came back 2 mins after laughing and played bout another 40 minutes. That was my best moment coz i just thought they were just gonna do an enchore. But they were just pullin da piss.
Hang on to your Taco! |

Posted - 03/12/2005 : 15:07:10 Hey Leah,
I remember when you showed me that sig in London! Had lotsa fun screaming with you in the front row. That show and the show before in Brighton were two of my favorites. But then I also love when Frank sang Valentine for me.
Sorry I don't have that version of 666 to share.

Posted - 03/10/2005 : 05:01:29 Holy Crap!!! That reminds me of the fact that the last time the Catholics were here, I was recording the concert on mini-disc....and my brother spilt his beer onto it half way thru the show....while I was cleaning it up, they started playing the slow wailing version of 666...regrets, regrets, regrets. (I did manage to get the first 40 minutes though) |
