I vote for honeycomb although it isn't out yet! The demos of the songs are great, i can imagine that the final version of the album will be better or as good! Thanks Frank

to elevator lady

the quote "an expert is he who knows more and more about less and less until he knows absolutely everyting about nothing" is by Nicholas Murray Butler.

I read it somewhere, didn't know who it was from, until I posted a message on google newsgroup alt.quotation. There i got an instant reply and also someone put it in context, as follows:

Butler liked to distinguish between the expert and the scholar.

The true scholar is free.... To be free is to have a largeness of view . which permits [one] to see the other side; a knowledge of the course of man's intellectual history and its meaning; a grasp of principles and a standard for judging them; the power and habit of reflection firmly established; a fine feeling for moral and intellectual distinctions; and the kindliness of spirit and nobility of purpose which are the support of genuine character.

~Nicholas Murray Butler 1862-1947, inaugural speech as President of Columbia University (Oct, 1902)

Well I'll admit I'm not too crazy about the production of the first solo, but there is no doubt some of those songs are freakin' masterpieces. Los Angeles alone is one of the best songs FB ever wrote, who can deny that? I can easily understand how this album is someones favorite. BLD is also special. Very emotional.

Hi Jem! Pretty please, where did you get this quote from?

as a newcomer - where is all this colour coding for the albums coming from?

Now let me be the one to take the role of the grass: don't take this too seriously; these silly kids just make things up as they go. This is the first time I hear TOTY being called the white album (though I am more or less still a newbie myself). On the other hand, as a friendly warning, don't even try to start the "orange or yellow" debate.

On topic: My fave is still Devil's Workshop (the red feathery one), yes! Putting it on right now!

No, actually, the feline one wins.

The White one, by far.
Blank_Frackis Posted - 02/10/2005 : 16:38:08
The white one is most definitely my favourite. It's even better than the geometric monkey.

The teen one, but that's just too difficult, it's like telling you to choose who's your favourite child, you just can't!

The white one, closely followed by the canine one.

I guess Black Letter Days would be the black one, but what about the others?
