Some of my other favorite soul record makers were Lynard Skynard, Bad Company, Johnny Lydon, Cure (B-Sides On the Beach), New Order, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, and Merl Haggard. All of these, and many more not mentioned and not known by me, are the “real deal”. For me, every one of Frank’s Albums are soul records. They are the “real deal”. The Man makes soul music.
